To recognise the faces of smart change, we interviewed Julie Raulet, Technician based in France for Leica Geosystems, to share with us her work-life balance, career lessons, fun facts and more.
What is your role at Leica Geosystems and for how long you have been working with the company?
I have been working since November 2016 for Leica Geosystems and I am a service technician.
How has Leica Geosystems helped you in your career development?
I spend one year in England after my studies and I came back to France to find my first job in my field. I didn’t have any experience and it was a real opportunity for me to find a company who trusts in young people.
What do you enjoy most about working at Leica Geosystems?
I really appreciate to work with people who like their job and work every day in a good atmosphere.
How do you balance your career at Leica Geosystems, and your personal life?
I like my job so it is a pleasure to go at work every day. When you like your job, you can be in a good mood and happy.
What are the career lessons that you have learned so far working at Leica Geosystems?
I’ve learned a lot with this job and I am still learning every day. Besides gathering technical expertise, I’ve learned to know myself better, to practice self-control and to be more patient.
How do you define success?
For me, success means to reach your goals with a good team and deliver results with quality, all while having a good mood.
What advice do you have for prospective Hexagon Geosystems candidates?
Leica Geosystems is the right company if you are looking forward to go to work, if you want to be surrounded by friendly and professional colleagues, and if you are looking for a passionate job.
What does true leadership mean to you?
True leadership means to be someone who knows very well the job of the team, being able to direct efforts and push team members forward under every condition while keeping the spirts up and knowing when it is important to speak with your team members.
