At Leica Geosystems, we are always looking to engage with up-and-coming talent; enthusiastic people who want to join an innovative company like ours. Recently members of our team in Heerbrugg, Switzerland, attended the Stellenbörsetag event at NTB Buchs and Polymesse 2015, which was hosted at the ETH in Zürich.

From time to time, we call on team members from R&D and Engineering to act as ambassadors for the company at such events; sharing insights into their professional work history and what they have found most valuable in terms of steering their own careers. From interacting with students and graduates, we also find out the aspects of work life which are most important to them as potential job applicants just starting in their chosen profession.

Stellenbörsetag (“Job Exchange Day” in English) is a platform for employers to promote internships and positions which they are recruiting, and to share more information about careers they offer and what it is like to work for their company. Leica Geosystems attends this annual event at the Institute of Technology located in Eastern Switzerland as a way to engage directly with current and former students who want to use their education to establish themselves in industry.Stellenbörsetag (“Job Exchange Day” in English) is a platform for employers to promote internships and positions which they are recruiting, and to share more information about careers they offer and what it is like to work for their company. Our team also attended Polymesse 2015, one of the largest career fairs held in Switzerland. ETH Zurich, an international Institute of Technology with over 18,000 students and 3,900 doctorate students, hosts this event on an annual basis. At our booth, we saw a lot of interest in the latest innovative solutions coming from Leica Geosystems, Aibotix and other Hexagon Geosystems brands. Many took the opportunity to learn more about our company’s long and successful history and current job opportunities.

We are very proud to support the Stellenbörsetag and Polymesse events, and appreciated the opportunity to engage with the future innovators and leaders of industry. There is a lot of work which goes on behind the scenes to organise these career events, and I would like to personally thank everyone for their participation and for representing our company so professionally. Further information about these events can be found at the NTB Buchs and the ETH Zürich sites respectively. If you would like to learn more about embarking on a career with our company, please visit the Leica Geosystems Careers Page.
