Hexagon’s Geosystems division expands partnership with Amberg Technologies to bolster rail solutions in North America

(Norcross, Ga., USA, 23 August 2018) – Hexagon’s Geosystems division, the complete reality capture solutions provider, signed a U.S./Canada distribution agreement with Amberg Technologies Ltd., a leading provider of surveying solutions for the rail industry. The expanded partnership will accelerate the digitalization of the rail industry by proving easier access to solutions that solve many geospatial and measurement challenges.

Hexagon provides many branded products and services into the rail industry, including Leica Geosystems reality capture solutions, SafeLoad clearance solutions and HxGN SmartNet positioning services. Amberg’s rail solutions, integrated with Leica Geosystems total station and GNSS positioning sensors, provide an industry-leading platform for portable rail surveying tasks, such as slab track construction, as-built geometry surveys, tamping surveys and clearance surveys.

Under the new agreement, Hexagon will enhance its rail industry offerings in the U.S. and Canada by adding sales distribution, technical support, and repair and calibration services for the full line of Amberg’s rail products.
