The Leica ALS80 is a single family of airborne LiDAR sensors that offers speed and flexibility without compromising on quality and accuracy. The affordable LiDAR system features industry leading 1.0 MHz pulse rates and allows you to produce high density point clouds for general purpose mapping in a fraction of the time and to perform high-AGL mapping with nearly 8 km swath.
Most widely used topographic LiDAR sensor
With a couple of hundred units in service the Leica ALS80 is field proven in every corner of the world. It is used in applications such as county and state-wide mapping, damage assessment, forestry and extreme terrain mapping in all environments and at temperatures of up to 40 °C.
Ultimate flexibility and modularity
Three planar scan patterns give you control over all scanning parameters, meeting the most challenging data acquisitions with efficiency and accuracy. Acquire even point density across the swath and set any field of view from narrow to wide.
The unique modular design of the Leica ALS80 offers full flexibility for every application. Any Leica ALS80-CM can become a Leica ALS80-HP at the user’s site or can be factory-reconfigured into a Leica ALS80-UP. To expand into forestry and environmental areas, you can add the optional Leica Full Waveform Digitiser at any time or in any location.
