The Develon DX225LC-7X excavator is equipped with the Full Electric Hydraulic technology and an integrated 2D machine guidance system as standard equipment from factory, features that significantly contribute to a positive environmental impact and efficiency on the job site. When a 3D machine control solution is required due to task complexity and advanced project requirements, Leica Geosystems offers the Leica MC1 3D machine guidance retrofit kit. This kit is designed to work perfectly with the Develon 2D sensors and calibrations for a quick and convenient system upgrade.
The Leica MC1 software allows operators and project manager the flexibility to work with a wide range of industry-standard data formats including LandXML, DXF, GEO, KOF, L3D, LMD, LIN, MBS and TRM, which enables the customer to integrate the solution to existing applications and workflows. Users can follow the work progress live, on the run screen with the Modify Models feature, which is instantly updated by tool point interaction. Moreover, the surface logging functionality provides direct visibility to the work being done as it visualizes the tool’s edge movements on a live heatmap in the Leica MCP80 panel.

The Develon DX225LC-7X excavator offers customers 2D machine guidance and machine control possibilities as standard, opening up opportunities for operators to automate certain functions and do their earthmoving tasks more precisely and more relaxed. The Leica MC1 retrofit kit is designed to close the functionality gap between 2D and 3D technologies, with a simplified and easy-to-install 3D machine control system that fully communicates and integrates into the Develon 2D system.
The Leica iCON iGD solution supports both 2D and 3D dozer operations, using laser, total stations, and blade-mounted or cab-mounted GNSS technologies. It communicates with Develon’s DD130-7/DD100-7 hydraulic controls, enabling it to adjust the blade to meet the requirements of any reference model. Additionally, the Leica iCON iGD solution supports 6-way blade functionality, offering improved visibility and convenience for the operator.
