Leica iCON iCS50 – Robotic Construction Sensor
The layout and 3D measurement sensor with visual measurement technology and clever accessories
The robotic Leica iCON iCS50 is the state-of-the-art construction sensor to perform both simple and complex layout and 3D measurement tasks. The handling is easy to learn and immediately efficient to use. In combination with the smart accessories Leica vPole and Leica vPen, this becomes a very productive solution, as the time required for layout and measurement tasks, as well as the risk of errors, is reduced to a minimum.
Areas of application:
- Layout lines for various foundation, structure and building exterior applications
- Layout interior drywall and insulation installations
- MEP layout of hanger locations for HVAC and duct work, inserts and slits for sheet metal work
- Fully automatic layout routines of points on floor or ceiling and lines for pipe wall penetrations
- As-built measurement with all details for interior finishing, e.g. kitchen building, staircase construction, window and door installation
- Creation of digital templates for countertops, splashbacks, etc. (including offsets, roundings and cut-outs)
Your advantages:
- One-person operation reduces staff resources and increases productivity
- Simplified measurement and layout process due to visual measurement technology
- Quickly ready for use due to the ‘auto-setup’ process
- Easy relocation with Leica vTargets
- Leica vPole with visual-based target tracking, automatic tilt compensation and auto-height detection to layout points even faster

The robotic construction sensor Leica iCON iCS50 is fully compatible with:
Ready for Use in Just a Few Steps
The Leica iCON iCS50 is a state-of-the-art, compact robotic sensor that can be carried onto site, set up and operated by just one person. Smart features such as the 'quick-mount' tripod and 'auto-setup' process ensure that it's ready for use in only a few steps, saving you time and avoiding expensive mistakes.
Fast Layout and Aiming
The camera live stream delivers extremely sharp images. This allows you to see on the tablet what the Leica iCON iCS50 sees, meaning you can precisely select any point. Due to the unique high-speed motor, the construction sensor then locates that point very quickly, shortening layout and measurement processes.
Leica vPole - Layout More Points
The unique visual-based target tracking is very robust and ensures that the Leica iCON iCS50 always stays connected to the Leica vPole. It also automatically compensates for pole tilt and automatically detects the pole height. This allows you to layout significantly more points, including hidden points. At the same time, the Leica vPole is very light and therefore comfortable to handle.
Leica vPen - Ideal for Digital Templating
This unique wireless measuring pen is very versatile and extremely precise (± 1 mm accuracy at 10 m). You can use it to measure on any surface, including glass, by simply touching the point you want to measure. It also enables you to measure edges without having to set up target plates. The unique visual-based target tracking ensures that the Leica iCON iCS50 always stays connected to the Leica vPen.
Leica vTarget - Easy Relocation
The visual-based target detection and the automated process greatly simplify the relocation of the device. New Leica vTargets are automatically detected. This saves time, avoids errors and allows you to quickly continue your layout and measurement tasks, even after a break. It also ensures best line of sight by always placing the device close to the working area.
High Degree of Flexibility
The Leica iCON iCS50 combines the benefits of laser technology with the advantages of Leica vPole and Leica vPen. Simply switch from one method to the other, depending on whichever supports your layout or measurement requirements best.
Error Prevention
Active and continuous monitoring of the unit's position automatically detects even the smallest movement and triggers an alarm. This avoids inaccuracies and expensive mistakes.
