This feature is now available for Cyclone 3DR and Cyclone FIELD 360 users with either an AEC or PRO licence, providing seamless access regardless of whether you're on-site or at your desk.

How to run Floor Flatness Analysis in Cyclone 3DR and Cyclone FIELD 360
The new Floor Flatness/Floor Levelness Analysis makes it easy for all team members to create a report in just a few steps:
Extract the floor
Start by selecting the area of the point cloud you want to analyse. Cyclone 3DR works smoothly with a variety of point cloud data including our universal LGSx file type, data from Leica Cyclone ENTERPRISE or Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS. There’s no need for lengthy file conversions. Alternatively, use your freshly collected scan data on-site using the Cyclone FIELD 360 app.
Define the Test Surface
Identify the main floor area in the point cloud. The software applications auto-detect and isolate the floor plan, only requiring you to input the specific contract specification values. Finally, define the area for the Test Surface (ASTM E1155).
Define the Test Sections
If necessary, split the floor into specific Test Sections (ASTM E1155). This is especially useful for larger sites, as it allows you to analyse the difference in quality across different zones of the same floor.
Define the Sample Lines
Add Sample Lines (ASTM E1155) across the floor, which are key for measuring flatness and levelness according to ASTM standards. Use the most suitable ASTM-compliant method (parallel and perpendicular or fishbone-like). The software instantly flags non-compliant lines.
Adjust the Sample Lines
Fine-tune the Sample Lines (ASTM E1155) to focus on critical areas, allowing for a more precise floor analysis.
Check the analysis
Create a colour map and check the floor flatness and levelness analysis for each line.
Create a report
Generate a comprehensive PDF report containing a summary and full details of the FF/FL analysis as aligned with industry standards. Values are automatically converted into the imperial system according to the project unit.
