Your Challenge

Performing precise land surveying needs an extensive hands-on training with instruments. Practicing with real surveying equipment is the best option to improve the needed skills, however, due to the limited availability of these for surveyor students and trainees an alternative is needed.

Now you have the chance to develop a surveying training software. It will simulate a Total Station in a virtual environment and let the user perform realistic surveying activities like distance and angle measurements.

Use any 3D computer graphics tool of your choice, for example Unreal Engine, to create your own virtual reality. Emplace an artificial total station into the scene and connect it to the Leica Captivate simulator to perform measurements in the virtual reality you created.
