Leica Viva SmartStation

The Leica SmartStation is a unique, high performance total station that perfectly integrates a powerful GNSS receiver. Simply set up the SmartStation and let GNSS determine the position of the total station.

With the SmartStation and versatile SmartPole, fewer setups are required, fewer control points are needed, and flexibility is maximised.

Fully integrated GNSS
With all software inside, all total station and GNSS operations are controlled via the total station keyboard. All data is stored in the same database - on the same SD card, USB stick or internal memory. All measurements, statuses and other information are displayed on the total station screen. All components are seamlessly combined where everything is integrated into one compact unit.

Position coordinates
With SmartStation you don’t need to worry about control points, traverses and resections. Just set up wherever it’s convenient and the assistant guides you through the setup. Within a few seconds, RTK determines the position to centimetre accuracy at ranges up to 50 km from a reference station. With the SmartStation you are ready to work in the shortest possible time – simply fix the position with GNSS and then survey with the total station.

Use as SmartStation or as a total station and RTK rover
With SmartStation's modular design, you can:

  • Use the equipment in any way you like
  • Use SmartStation when there are no control points available

Once SmartStation is accurately positioned, take off the smart antenna, put it on a pole, and use it with the Leica field controller as a fully-fledged RTK rover.
