Our software engineers design and develop powerful software solutions for our precision measuring instruments and systems in international and interdisciplinary teams. They closely collaborate with the product managers in order to create products with an optimal scope of functionalities as well as intuitive handling and modern design.
The “Swiss newbie” Zbigniew Jasinski from Heerbrugg is one of these software engineers. He gave up his business in Warszawa to take a job at Hexagon. He has not been regretting this decision ever since because he loves his job here: “Even though software might appear invisible, as a software engineer you create real value and contribute decisively to the success of the company. It is the applications you create that bring life to the products,” he proudly says.
Just like his colleagues, Zbigniew appreciates the flexible working hours in place at Hexagon. This way, he can accommodate both his hobbies and his work in everyday life. From working out in the mountains early in the morning to visiting St. Gallen, Munich or Zurich with friends in the early afternoon – he enjoys the calmness of nature as well as the vibrant city atmosphere nearby with its diverse arts and cultural offerings for distraction.
But there is one important thing the native Polish actually misses: genuine Pierogi. Fortunately, he loves cooking and provides himself with fresh foodstuff from a near farmer. And for eating in community is more fun, he regularly invites his colleagues from all over the world to share the enjoyment. This strengthens the team spirit and brings a piece of home to the common table.
