Leica GS18 tilt compensation allows surveyors to measure points with a tilted pole while maintaining survey-grade accuracy, eliminating the need to level the pole for every measurement. Leica Geosystems was the first to introduce calibration-free, IMU-based tilt compensation in a GNSS RTK rover.
By combining GNSS and IMU technology, the GS18 automatically compensates for pole tilt, remains immune to magnetic disturbances, and requires no field calibration. The result is faster, easier measurements with reliable accuracy, even when the pole is significantly tilted.
