Create a 3D point cloud with your GNSS rover
Surveyors can construct a comprehensive 3D point cloud using the Leica GS18 I GNSS RTK rover, which combines GNSS, IMU, and a camera. Using Visual Positioning based on photogrammetric principles, a series of images are automatically captured with the Leica Captivate GS Imaging app and combined to create a 3D point cloud in the office. Directly in the field, points can be selected and measured from the images, hence avoiding complex indirect measurement techniques for hard-to-reach points.
