Leica Geosystems’ 3D machine control solution is now available across the full Bell motor grader range, including their first joystick-controlled electro-hydraulic (EH) grader.

(Odense, Denmark, 3 September 2026) Bell Equipment and Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, today announced that Leica Geosystems’ machine control offering is now available across Bell Equipment’s motor grader range, giving customers the freedom to choose the machine that best suits their operation without compromising the accuracy, productivity and ease of installation delivered by 2D and 3D machine control.

The integration supports Bell's mechanical-control and electro-hydraulic joystick-controlled motor graders, and every Leica 2D and 3D machine control configuration, including laser, GNSS, and total station positioning. Through this collaboration, Bell graders are delivered machine control-ready from the factory, enabling faster and less disruptive installation of Leica Geosystems’ machine control components.

"Bell Equipment is committed to delivering machines that are ready for the technologies our customers expect and need on today's construction and mining sites. By working with Leica Geosystems, we can offer our graders with seamless machine control integration, enabling customers to deploy advanced guidance solutions quickly and efficiently,” said Jeremiah Mokhomo, OEM Motor Grader Product Manager at Bell Equipment.

Industry-first support for Bell EH Graders
A key milestone of this collaboration is the successful integration of Leica Geosystems' machine control technology with Bell's electrohydraulic (EH) joystick-controlled graders. This broad compatibility simplifies fleet standardisation, reduces operator training requirements, and enables customers to benefit from the productivity, accuracy and efficiency gains of Leica machine control regardless of their preferred machine configuration.

„No matter the grader a customer wants to buy, we can fit our system on it. Bell is a premium name in mining and construction, and this integration shows how far we can extend machine control across equipment manufacturers and machine configurations,“ says Martin Verdurmen, President of Hexagon’s Machine Control Division.

The new Bell grader integration will make its public debut at Electra Mining Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa (7–11 September 2026), where visitors are invited to experience demonstrations of Leica Geosystems' machine control technology on Bell graders.
